  4. It is important to have countermeasures for the opponents'
  5. conventions, turning their own weapons against them. This book
  6. contains 14 such countermeasures, some of them original, some not.
  7. Whether the reader decides to use them, perhaps in modified form,
  8. or stick with others, surely it must be agreed that a partnership
  9. needs some sort of method for dealing with each of the various
  10. weapons wielded by opponents. At the very least, the table of
  11. contents can be used as a check list for partnership discussion.

  14. pages) of the text is shown at the end of the chapter. For each

  16. given at the end.
